Dr. Samuel A. Gruszka was raised in Geneva, Illinois before attending the University of Missouri-Columbia for his bachelor’s degree in human biology. He completed his Doctorate degree in optometry in 2024 at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, where he was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society and graduated cum laude. Dr. Gruszka received the UMSL Award for Clinical Excellence in the area of ocular disease during his numerous externships. At the Eye Institute of West Florida, Dr. Gruszka provides patients with full-scope eye care and excels in the areas of specialty contact lens fitting and glaucoma management. Outside of clinic, Dr. Gruszka enjoys exercise, music, and spending time with family and his golden retriever, Molly.
