James A. Roberts, MD grew up in St. Petersburg, FL. He went to the University of Florida to receive his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and obtained his doctorate of medicine from East Tennessee State University in 1984. After his internship and Ophthalmology residency in Tennessee, Dr. Roberts moved back to Pinellas County.
He spent 31 years practicing Ophthalmology for a large primary and specialty care medical group in Pinellas. He is proud to be joining The Eye Institute of West Florida and looks forward to working with a team of eye care professionals. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors and his rescue greyhound.
