We are pleased to announce Amy Martino, MD, has joined our practice and is now accepting patients starting in August!
Dr. Amy Martino is one of Tampa Bay’s premier board-certified, fellowship-trained Glaucoma Specialists. She is committed to providing advanced treatments for glaucoma patients of The Eye Institute of West Florida.
She was one of the first doctors to ever surgically implant the Hydrus microstent for patients with advanced glaucoma and also one of the first surgeons in Florida selected to implant the glaucoma iStent® device for the same reason. These are new, wonderful modalities to treat patients with glaucoma whose drops are not doing the trick anymore. Additionally, she is exceptionally skilled at using lasers to control pressures in patients with glaucoma as well as doing traditional glaucoma surgical procedures.
Dr. Martino is a staff physician at the James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, where she takes pride in serving those who have served our country. She volunteers her time through the Eye Care America program and Catholic Charities Medical Missions to help under-privileged patients receive eye care.
She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, the Florida Glaucoma Society, and the Tampa Bay Ophthalmological Society where she is a cabinet member.
She enjoys playing tennis, practicing yoga and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
